The fate of the central match of the 4th round of SuperLeague was decided in the last second. Delta was defeating Olimpi almost the whole game. But Dimitri Jakobov’s team gained the victory with the final siren – 66:64 with Rezo Rogava scoring the winning ball.
Before that, Delta had almost won the game. A minute and a half before the end, Leqso Lapanashvili’s team had 6-points advantage – 62:57. However, at the expense good offensive tactics and quick, precise attacks, Olimpi managed to minimize the difference and Marc Ogden’s accurate free-throws promoted Olimpi – 63:62. They succeeded in defense as well and eventually, gained the victory.
After this victory, Jakobov’s team cought up with the Super League Leader – Kutaisi. Charles Bennett led the winners with 18 points. Revaz Rogava scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Nika Darbaidze had 10 points. Malcolm Drumwright was the most effective with 13 points in Delta. Gegi Baqradze scored 12 points and 10 rebounds.
