Remaining three matches of the regular championship will be held today at Tbilisi Olympic Palace. The first match, where Mgzavrebi and Batumi met, is already over. The main intrigue of this match was to reveal Batumi’s rival in the first round of playoffs – quarterfinals.
In case of Mgzavrebi’s victory, they would meet Batumi. Buba Berishvili’s team gained a convincing leadership after an equal first half and eventually, went to the victory – 92:71. Accordingly, Mgzavrebi who took the second place in the regular championship, will meet Batumi – (7th place) in the quarterfinals.
Kakha Jintcharadze led the winners with 20 points and 15 rebounds. Adrian Bowie scored 23 points. Prince Williams collected 22 points. one of Mgzavrebi’s legionnaires – Jacob Armstrong got an injury during the match and left the court. He was taken to hospital to determine the quality of injury.
