In the second match of the second round, Tskhum-Apkhazeti defeated Cactus in a quite tense battle. The current champion – Delta, which competes with the name of Tskhum-Apkhazeti now, celebrated the debut with a victory. The team trained by Zviad Antadze defeated purposive and stubborn Cactus – 71:67. The fate of the match was defeated at the last minutes, when Tskhumi played effectively in the decisive moment and started the Superleague with a victory.
Tskhum-Apkhazeti played in a Supecup match with Titebi on the day of the first round, defeated them in a very tense battle and gained the first title in this season. Zviad Antadze’s team played their first Superleague match convincingly as well. They were winning by 13 points in the third quarter. However, the situation still got tense in the end. After the accurate 2-pointer of Brian Williams, Cactus reduced the difference to 1 point – 62:63. But Tskhumi played with more accuracy in the decisive moment and eventually, won the match.
Aubrey McAlpine led the winners with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Giorgi Sharabidze scored 13 points. Zoran Vilotijevic was the top-scorer with 21 points in Cactus, Brian Williams had 15 points.
