The second round of Super League finished with a tense and exciting match. TSU-Hyundai defeated Mgzavrebi at the last minute with 2-points difference – 79:77.
The match was going on with a transitional advantage and its fate was decided on the last seconds. The score was equal – 77:77 when the last minute started. TSU-Hyundai’s Serbian centre Ratko Petric stood on the free-throw line and scored ½ balls. 24 seconds were left for Mgzavrebi to equalize the score, but Rezo Chachanidze missed a 3-pointer, which was rebounded by Ratko Petric who scored 1 more point from the free-throw line again.
Giorgi Korsantia led the winners with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Ratko Petric scored 16 points as well as Sandro Sanadze. James Milliken collected 13 points and 8 assists. Adrian Bowie was the most effective with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Revaz Chachanidze had 19 points.
The 3rd round matches of the Super League will be held on 21, 22 and 23 November in Kutaisi, Tbilisi and Rustavi.
