The last quarter-final pair – Kutaisi and Marneuli have entered the Super League playoff today. The meeting was held in the capital of Imereti and ended with an expected result: a winner of the regular championship – Kutaisi defeated Marneuli, which was on the 8th place, with 15-points difference – 85:70.
The hosts won the first period with 3 points, then they increased the advantage to 15 points before the big break. It was the final difference of the match as well. Beqa Beqauri led the winners with 23 points. Akaki Dvalishvili accumulated 18 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists. Giorgi Barbaqadze scored 14 points, Jonathan Lee had 12 points. Artem Shvets was a top scorer in Marneuli, he scored 17 points and 10 rebounds. Zviad Antadze had 14 points.
The next match of the quarter-final series between these teams will be held on May 9 at Tbilisi Olympic Palace. If Kutaisi wins, they will play in semi-finals, in case of losing, the 3rd match will be held on May 11, in Kutaisi.
