Mgzavrebi, which is on the last place of the Superleague standings, exterminated one of the leaders – Dinamo, who has an ambition of becoming a champion. Buba Berishvili’s team defeated Muhammed Tachi’s Dinamo by 41 points, without giving them even a little bit of a chance.
It’s difficult to name those two debutant players of Mgzavrebi as the reason of such an easy victory, though it is a fact – Lovell Cabbil scored 22 points and Joseph Rocca had 19. They contributed a lot to the team’s victory.
The first period finished equally – 23:23. Cabbil scored 4 three-pointers and continued successful game in a second quarter as well. Taj Spencer was helping him, the latter became a top-scorer with 22 points eventually. The effectiveness of Kote Bitsadze and Soso Gognadze is also noteworthy, they did their job well and this brought Mgzavrebi to 25-points leadership in the third period.
Canadian debutant Joseph Rocca performed well, adding mobility to the already-fast back line of Mgzavrebi. Rocca himself scored lost of points and assisted to his temmates as well. The advantage of Berishvili’s team reached 30 points and the fate of the match was decided a lot earlier before the final siren. Dinamo’s coach let younger players on the court and the difference increased to 41 points, which occurs to be a record of the current season – 111:70.
Mgzavrebi gained second victory in the current Superleagu and equalized with Cactus for now. The latter will hold the remaining match today against Titebi.
