Rustavi won against one of the leaders – Kutaisi in the previous match and it’s obvious, they have come to Tbilisi to win again, but Cactus, trained by Archil Jghenti, has resisted and gained a very important victory.
American Terik Bridgeman increased Cactus’ strength and after winning several games, they promoted in the standings. With 7 victories and 7 defeats they approached leaders. In the third period, Cactus had more than 10-points advance and in the beginning of the 4th quarter, the difference was 9 points. With a good defense, Rustavi managed to reduce the difference to 2 points.
The score was 59:57 and 2 minutes were left before the finish, but Cactus players fought to the end and gained the victory 64:61.
Terik Bridgeman led the winners with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Deandre Parks scored 15 points. Giorgi Turdzeladze accumulated 10 points and 10 rebounds. Tyrell Nelson was the most effective in Rustavi with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Adam Blazek scored 14 points and Paul Cooper accumulated 10 points and 17 rebounds.
