Like the first match of the finals, today’s match was quite tense and its fate was decided at the last minute. Dinamo was winning almost during the whole game, but the lead wasn’t really convincing.
After Kiel Turpin’s 2-pointer, the guests advanced 52:43 in the third period, but then, with the lead of Jonathan Lee, Dejuan Wright, Beqa Beqauri and Giorgi Barbaqadze, the hosts managed to win the episode – 13:0 and advanced 56:52 before the decisive quarter.
Dinamo players had used a 2-minute break well and improved the game after returning to the court. Raven Lee was one of the most productive players in Dinamo today, he scored 17 points in 30:48 minutes and played a big role in victory. Lee scored a three-pointer at the final moment, which took away Kutaisi’s chance to success.
Dinamo’s lead reached to 6 points 30 seconds before the end of the game. Raven Lee and Kiel Turpin led the winners with 17-17 points each. Lavell Boyd scored 13 points and 6 assists. Levan Grdzelidze accumulated 11 points. Dejuan Wright was the most effective player with 19 points in Kutaisi. Jonathan Lee scored 15 points. Akaki Dvalishvili and Beqa Beqauri scored 11-11 points each.
The final series will move to Tbilisi. The next matches will be held on May 27 and 28, 16:00, at Tbilisi Olympic Palace.
