There was a big fight between Delta and Titebi in the next match of 15th tour. These two teams have different aims. Debutant Titebi wants to keep a place in the Superleague, while Delta, trained by Leqso Lapanashvili, is fighting for a better position before entering playoffs.
This match ended with 1-point difference, in favour of Delta, who gained 9th victory in 15th tour and now it is on the second place until Dinamo, TSU-Hyundai, Olimpi and Mgzavrebi play. The first half of the match was equal. Titebi was winning by 4 points for the big break, however, Delta tied the game in the third period and thanks to their American legionnaire – Malcolm Drumwright and his teammates, Delta advanced by 3 points, winning the periof 18:11.
Delta continued effective play in the decisive quarter and even increased the difference to 10 points. However, Titebi, trained by Lasha Gamkrelidze, didn’t give up and gained a real chance to win. They reduced the difference owing to a good defensive game. Kaheem Ransom led the decisive attack in the remaining 7 seconds, which didn’t turn out effective. Eventually, time was up in favour of Delta – 87:86. Malcolm Drumwright led the winners with 30 points. Oto Pkhakadze scored 19 points. Beqa Beqauri collected 12 points and 13 rebounds. Ransom was the most effective with 27 points and 9 assists in Titebi. Ilia Londaridze scored 22 points.
