The score is equalized in the first pair of quarterfinals. TSU-Hyundai took revenge on Dinamo after losing a huge advantage yesterday and won 87:73 this time, equalizing the series 1:1. The team trained by Nikoloz Cherqezishvili played the second half exemplary. They were losing 13 points in the beginning and managed to win by 14.
Of course, TSU-Hyundai’s victory was due to their team game, however, it’s noteworthy that their American legionnaire – James Milliken played perfectly, scoring 42 points, he became the hero of the game.
TSU was losing in the beginning though. They advanced 10:0 at first, but Dinamo responded quickly and accurately. Irakli Khoshtaria’s team managed to lead from the first period and even increased the difference in the second one.
Dinamo was winning 49:38 for the big break. However, the situation changed from the second half. All the team member, especially legionnaires started to play more effectively. TSU-Hyundai turned the score into leadership and advanced 65:60 before the final quarter.
The fate of the match was decided here. Dinamo wasn’t able to tie the game again, while TSU-Hyundai increased the leadership even more and eventually, gained a convincing victory.
Milliken led the winners with 42 points. Marcus Posley scored 12 points, Giorgi Korsantia had 11. Reger Dowell was the most effective with 18 points in Dinamo. Demagoj Bubalo collected 15 points and 10 rebounds.
