Rustavi and Batumi Win at Home


The FIBA World Cup Qualifiers is on the way and these last two games were the break point start in the Superleague – lasting almost till the end of November. The teams will have the plenty of time to get organized and be in the best of shape, as the Georgian National Team will will prepare for FIBA WCQ.

The last two games were between Rustavi and Cactus and, on the other hand, Batumi and Olimpi. Cactus resisted Rustavi, but all in all Rustavi managed to win the game. Cactus was winning the half time, but in the second, they changed the tactics, dominated and won the game. The most notable players were Nelson with 23 points and never left the court during the 40 minutes. Chachanidze scored 18 points and Blazek 10 points along with 7 assists. The most efficient player from Cactus was Parks with 18 points.

Intensive was the game in Batumi as well. Olimpi was winning the whole 3 periods, but in the final quarter Batumi played a good defense, acing the offenses and won the game 80:72. The best players were Collins with 22 points, the 3 players – Kadaria, Stepanyshin and Shemosyuk scored 11 points each. The most points from Olimpi were scored by Rogava.
